Report-Day2
8th Rajasthan Science Congress Mega Event : Day 2 session
Jaipur, 21 October, 2021
8th Rajasthan Science Congress Programme was held in Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium at IIS School Shipra Path Mansarovar . The event started with the technical session 3 of the conference which included the eminent speakers Dr.D.P.S. Rathore, Professor Dilip Sharma, Professor B.L. Ahuja ,Professor Manish Shrimali . The speakers talked about various innovative and creative technologies and experiments held in the field of science and technology.
Dr. D.P.S. Rathore, informed the students about the **Uranium* *Concentration of groundwater in India , analysis and mitigation technologies.*
He inspired the students to read the science magazine and journal by quoting, "enlighten your mind" by APJ ABDUL KALAM.
He told the participants about the Uranium originating from different sources, including natural or geogenic, mining and industrial activities, and fertilizers in agriculture and about the oxidation conditions that enhance the extracted uranium's solubility in water.
Professor Dilip Sharma
Topic- Solar Thermal Assisted Rapid Bulk Milk Cooler.
He started off by comparing energy required by primitive man with today's technology man. And main reason behind rise in demand of energy is use of internal combustion engine.
He gave an overview about his project on solar thermal assisted rapid bulk milk cooler.
To preserve milk , 4°C environment is required but since in urban areas their are not such facilities and even lack of electricity supply . Seeing all this he developed an idea of solar operated milk cooling system.
He gave a brief about the milk cooling system by showing diagrams of the same.
Dr. B.L. Ahuja: Energy dispersive experiments with new promises. (Online)
He briefed the participants about Compton Effect by showing the factual graphics and physics equations of the Compton scattering's experiments. He explained in brief about the magnetic compton scattering, uses of Compton scattering. He gave examples of first Indian 20 CI, 137 C's Compton spectrometer and talked about scientific layout of magnetic Compton scattering.
Professor Manish Shrimali gave a brief description about Chaos theory and complex systems. Mentioning about the birth of Chaos theory and mentioning " Lorentz" the father of Chaos.
He gave graphical representation of physical systems by giving examples of spring pendulum and double pendulum. He ended his session while quoting Stephan Hawking, " I think next century will be the century of complexity".
After a short tea break technical session 4th of the 8th Rajasthan science Congress programme started which included some keynote speakers Dr B.S. Bisht, Dr Ram Prakash, Professor Ambesh Dixit. The speakers talked about atomic minerals in Rajasthan plasma technologies and visible nanotechnology.
Dr. B.S. Bisht gave an overview of Exploration Activities for Atomic Minerals in Rajasthan. He briefly talked about atomic minerals, Uranium on earth, satelite imagery, Ariel and petrography.
He gave factual data, giving residual plots of ground and Heli Borne Geographical data.
He showed the practical estimation of Uranium of one of his organisation workshop and showed chemical analysis and a 3-D model of estimates of metal% by OK.
Doctor Ram Prakash, currently working as an Associate Professor in Department of Physics.
He has made successful attempts for FEAR that is food/ health, energy and agricultural retrievals.
He had a conversation with the participants on plasma and it's benefits.
More than 99.99 percent of surface is plasma. He also declared that he is working on to create plasma. He also talked about facts and figure of global food challenge of different countries. He also told that plasma is a great hope and explained splendidly on global health challenge and how to prevent food diseases.
Their contributing was MPF-UU camps for water disinfection.
Professor Ambesh Dixit, Associate Professor, Department of Physics, IIT Jodhpur. He started off by introducing nano technology and telling us its importance in various fields like biomedical material science and computers.
After having the lunch, technical session 5th of the Eighth Rajasthan science Congress started which included the talks of speaker Dr Ravindra Kumar and Dr NK Khatri. The event was very informative and a blend of creativity and innovation was seen in the poster session held in the exhibition ground .
Dr. Ravindra Kumar Director of defence laboratory Jodhpur ,
DRDO, Government of India showed a presentation on the contribution done by DRDO in Atma Nirbhaya Bharat.
He talked about DRDO's 7 technology clusters , Mission Shakti . He showed light combat aircraft (Tejas), gas turbine engine, advance light helicopter ,Nishant(launcher based mobile, self propelled, compact, low speed tactical UAV, Rustam II, inflatable radome .He even mentioned DRDO'S contribution during pandemic COVID 19 and gave brief overview of defence laboratory in Jodhpur.
Dr. N.K. Khatri informed the participants about the subsurface petroleum characterization. He gave a brief overview about the source rock generation, migration and accumulation of petroleum in the traps, structural and stratigraphic.
He explained by showing graphical representation on Petroleum accumulates above the existing water by displacing it from the pore space. He explained how to detect petroleum by surface measurements in brief.
With the heritage and beauty of Rajasthan, the very informative session ended with a beautiful cultural programme organised by IIS (deemed to be University) ,including various dance performances and which filled up the audience with utmost enthusiasm and energy . With this, the second day of 8th Rajasthan Science Congress came to an end.
