8th Rajasthan Science Congress : Day 3

The third day of the Rajasthan Science Congress began with the address by Prof. S.L. Kothari. He discussed the desert ecosystem with special reference to Prosopis Cineraia and its utility in conservation framework. Prof. Chetan Singh Solanki briefed the participants about Energy Swaraj Mission by enlightening the participants about the alternative sources of energy, primarily solar energy. Dr. D. Marshal presented an online session on the role of Biomedical Technologies in the current scenario. He also demonstrated the use of nano particles with controlled functionalities for biomedical uses. Prof. Ramphal Sharma, addressed the participants about the significance of solar energy as an effective source of energy and also discussed the preparation and use of nano structured thin films which can increase the efficiency of the solar cells. A blend of creativity and innovation was seen in the exhibition held in the exhibition ground. Dr. Subhash Garg, Technical Education Minister, Government of Rajasthan, graced the Valediction Session of the Science Congress as Chief Guest. Dr. T.N. Mathur, Vice Chancellor, IIS(deemed to be University), initiated Valedictory Ceremony by addressing and thanking the delegates present over there. Dr. Pradeep Bhatnagar briefed the participants about the 3 days session of Rajasthan Science Congress and talked about the Sustainable Development Goals. Chief Guest, Dr. Subhash Garg, addressed the gathering, shared his views about the conference held in past three days, and talked about the conflicts in developments of Science and Technology. An Award Ceremony was held where the participants were awarded with certificates and medals for showcasing their working models and poster designs. Anirudh Sharma was awarded Rajendra Prabhu Medal and Shreyansh Kumar Jain was awarded Dr P.C. Vyas Medal by Dr. Subhash Garg Dr K.S. Sharma ended up the session by thanking the Organizers and IIS (deemed to be University). A formal announcement of the 9th Rajasthan Science Congress to be held in SKN University, Jobner was also made on the third day of the Congress.
